It’s September 24, 2021.  The world is still filled with chaos but in my small corner of it, all is well.  I’ve learned from the smartest people who’ve ever lived to live in the moment.  I’ve learned to surround myself with people I love.  I’ve learned how to be happy.  I’ve learned the lessons so well; I now take them for granted.  It’s a good place to be.  Today is Love Note Day, Kiss Day, German Butterbrot Day, Blue Bird Of Happiness Day, Cherries Jubilee Day, Save The Koloa Day and Native American Day.  Now to what has happened on this date.  In 1789 the Federal Judiciary Act was passed creating a 6-person Supreme Court.  In 1869 a Wall Street panic (Black Friday) happened when Gould & Fisk attempted to corner gold.  In 1890 the head of the Latter-day Saints issued a manifesto saying that the practice of polygamy should be abandoned.  In 1924 on this day Boston opened its airport.  In 1952 KFC opened the first franchise in Salt Lake City.  In 1987 on this day Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss died at the age of 87.  He is one of my favorite philosophers.  I’ll end with several of his quotes.  “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”  “Today was good, today was fun, tomorrow is another one.”  “To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.” I’ll end this post with one more for you to think about: “It’s not about what it is, it’s about what it may become.”  Abide.
