We’ve entered the time/space of May 3rd, 2020. A few hundred years ago you were born into the same world you died in. Now, it often feels like we wake up in one world and go to sleep in another. Change happens so quickly. What will today bring? We will find out shortly. There’s more but this is enough. I’ll go with lemonade because it mixes so well with vodka which I’ll probably need before this day ends. On this day in 1861, Lincoln asks for another 42,000 Army Volunteers and another 18,000 seamen. In 1901, fire destroys 1,700 buildings in Jacksonville, Florida. Wow. Finally, on this day in 1921 West Virginia imposes 1st state sales tax. This is the day in 1469 that the Italian Politician and writer Niccolo Machiavelli was born.
