We’ve almost made it through August 2020. Just a few more days to go. It’s the 29th day. I won’t be recapping this month because it’s filled with stuff I don’t want to remember and dwell on. Not a lot of good things going on right now. That’s why its important to seek out happiness where ever you can find it. Today is Chop Suey Day, Individual Rights Day, More Herbs, Less Salt Day, Lemon Juice Day, Speak Kind Words Saturday, Pony Express Day and Record Store Day. I’ll pick the kind words because saying them is good for you and the person you are saying them too. In 1533 on this day, Atahualpa, last Sapa Inca Emperor is suspected to have been murdered and buried by Pizarro and his small force of mercenaries. 200 conquistadors brought down the Inca civilization of 10 million people. This is the day in 1833 that Britain’s 1st Factory Act becomes law “to regulate the Labour of Children and young Persons in the Mills and Factories of the United Kingdom”. On this day in 1898 the Goodyear tire company founded. And in 1966 the Beatles’ made their last public concert at Candlestick Park, San Francisco. Today is John McCain’s birthday (1936).
