We are about to rotate into the time space of November 28, 2019, Thanksgiving day. It’s going to be a memorable day in my house because all of my family is going to be here. That does not happen often and is a reason for me to give thanks. It’s also letter writing day, national French toast day, red planet day, and Unthanksgiving Day (native American un-holiday). Now the history of this day. In 1717 Blackbeard attacks a French merchant vessel and renames it Queen Anne’s Revenge. In 1775 on this day the second continental Congress formally establishes the US Navy. In 1893, women are allowed to vote in a national election for the first time(New Zealand). In 1895 Americas first auto race is held, Chicago to Evanston and back. Six cars, 55 miles, and the winner averaged 7 mph. Finally, in 1974 this day was John Lennon’s last concert appearance. He and Elton John performed at Madison Square Garden in New York City. I will in this post with a quote from Oprah, “Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” Oprah is a very smart lady. I’m taking her advice. I have everything I want today. Abide
